If Gabriel didn't mention it, Adrien would've never thought in a million years that his father was Hawkmoth. He hated his fathers guts, and wanted to stop him, but he was weak. Refusing to tell Ladybug he seeks help of someone else, or, at least who he thinks is someone else.
