At a young age, Izuku Midoriya gave up his dream to become a hero. He didn't have a quirk. He was not special. He longed to be remembered. He wanted to be known. He wanted people to see him, and what he did, and smile. It was only at age 15 did he realize that seeing them suffer may be even more enjoyable, and that the quirk he had never known was a beautifully horrible one indeed.
