"I heard the freaks come out at night," Yuri pushed Dave's shoulder with a slight giggle as they stared out over the water, "amongst other things, like the moon, the beautifully lit night sky," he gently grabbed her chin so that their gazes were fixated on each other, "and the stars, and I see all that just by looking into your eyes."

Yuri found herself melting like an ice cream cone on a hot summer day under his gaze, but she knew his words meant nothing, invalid basically, seeing as though they couldn't move forward with whatever this was.

Gently removing his hand from her face, she looked at the ground that sat beneath them, before looking back over to him. "Dave, I just don't think-"

"We're not out here to think."

She let the words that had so effortlessly flowed from his mouth, marinate in her head before speaking, "I can't help it," she bit down on her lip.
