Mature
Set in 1967, Joann is invited to a secret speakeasy by an old school friend who has taken a likening to her. It's the summer after graduation, and so in her desire to make the best of what little time she has left in her town, Joann decides to go, bringing along her close friend, Stella.

However, this speakeasy is no ordinary place--it is almost like an exclusive club, reserved for partygoers who move their bodies freely as they want. While Stella is scared away by such frivolous behavior, Joann is heavily drawn in, and soon finds herself leading a double life. Eventually, Joann is caught trying to balance a love triangle all while trying to keep what she does behind closed doors a secret from her mom, her grandmother, her town, and, ultimately, herself.
