It's the day every boy and girl dreams for. The day they find their soulmate.

Some people get their soulmate's name on their 18th birthday. Some people only see colours their soulmates can see. Some people have words that appear on their wrists. It's something different for everyone.

But Lia has it worse than most people. She gets her soulmates bruises. They show up on her skin anytime her soulmate gets a bruise.
Everyone always talks about how nice it is to get their marks but Lia hates it. She hates the bruises. She wants whoever it is causing them to stop.

Ashton is always getting into trouble. He's sarcastic and loves to fight. He's never gotten a soulmate mark. Ashton made up his mind that after his eighteenth birthday, he didn't have a soulmate.

But little did he know Lia was about to stumble into his life.

She looks up at me, taking a step forward and smiling slightly, "How can I ever get hurt when I have you here to protect me?" "But you could have gotten hurt," I murmur softly, hanging my head and feeling my shoulders drop, the tension seeping from my body. "No. Stop," She cuts me off sternly but tenderly, "Don't talk like that, Reece. I'm okay, you're okay, we're okay," She speaks softly, reaching her hand up to gently brush her thumb over my cheek, just under the cut that's there. "We're okay," I repeat, taking a small step closer to her. She nods with a small smile, moving her hand down from my cheek and instead placing the palm of her hand on my chest, right over my heart. I know she can feel how fast my heart is beating. I just don't know why it's doing that. ~ Reece Carter is the bad boy of Northwood High. He smokes and he fights. ⚠️⚠️ Cutting Suicide attempts Anxiety Depression Usage of illegal substances Alcohol Profanity Abuse ⚠️⚠️ A Soulmate mark. Something that gives you hope in finding the partner that fate chose for you. But is it a blessing, or a curse? At the age of 17, every teen receives a mark located on either their wrist or palm. This mark represents the person fate had chosen for them since they were born. Each and every mark is special, not one mark is like another. The design of the mark depends on both the soulmates eyes and quirk. The color is a exact replica of their soulmates eye color. And the shape and idea of the mark is dependent on their quirk. The amount of detail the mark has shows how good their mental health is. Say someone has a extremely breathtaking mark, absolutely stunning. Their soulmate is in mental agony. The more beautiful the mark, the more hurt their soulmate is. Not only will they have a mark connecting them to their soulmate, they can also feel each other's pain. Once both people turn 17, which can take years saying their could be a large age gap, they both can feel the physical pain something could inflict on them. Say one of them breaks their arm, the other wouldn't have a broken arm as well, they would simply be feeling the exact same amount of pain the other is feeling. It's a extremely scary part of having a soulmate since they would be able to feel if their soulmate is being beat but wouldn't be able to do anything about it. Izuku Midoriya is both excited for having a soulmate but also mortified to have one. The boy is abused on the daily and cuts extremely often. The idea of having someone share that pain with him haunts him every night. But it also gives him hope. Hope that someone is out there that could help him get out of the terrible cycle he has begun. Unfortunately, Izuku hits rock bottom just days before his 17th birthday, will his soulmate be able to pull him out of this vicious cycle?

A story of love, pain, and second chances. In a world where friendships crumble and kisses taste of betrayal, some wounds cut deeper than skin. A lover's touch can heal-or destroy. Behind every smile hides a secret. Behind every promise, a lie. And in the ashes of loss and sabotage, hearts still ache for the kind of love that survives it all. Different, yet the same-bound by the bruises and scars of their choices, their pasts, their mistakes. Some wounds break, some redeem... but in the end, love always leaves its mark. *** ⚠️ Disclaimer: Sensitive Content This story explores themes of sexual abuse, human trafficking, grooming, emotional trauma, domestic violence, and morally complex relationships. It delves into the long-term psychological impact of abuse and how it can distort one's understanding of love, trust, and self-worth. The characters, their actions, and their choices are entirely fictional and are not intended to condone or glorify abuse, manipulation, or inappropriate relationships of any kind. Reader discretion is strongly advised. Started: May 2025 *** Bruiseprint - a made-up name. Some loves leave marks, not just the kind that hurt, but the kind that shape us. They stay with us like prints. Our bruises tell stories. Pain leaves a print, but so does healing. This is the imprint of a love that changed them both. Thank you for reading ❤️♾️
