I planted a seed
and I took a moment to breathe
a closed my eyes and I walked away
each day, I watered it
I took very good care of it
sorta like what I tried to do with you
i guess I overwatered you
and didn't give you enough sun
the yellow pigments of the petal
are starting to show
months pass and it's full grown
I stare at it in awe
before I can get loss with the beautiful features
I quickly rip it out the ground
and hold it in my shaking hand
the most beautiful things rot
I pluck each petal
