What could be worse than own death? Only the death of your family and your beloved. What could be worse than a loss of desire to live? Only the loss of one of the five senses. Orphaned sixteen-year-old Emily is in danger in a post-apocalyptic world where a coronavirus mutated in a terrible way. She must flee New York from hunger and gangs, but abandoned lands can be even more dangerous. Emily's heart is in danger too when she meets a new friend. She knows less than nothing about him.
