Laying at his feet the gaze of a slain young boy caught his own, the boys blood pooled seeping into the cracks of the cobbled ground, as he laid frozen in fear. Sucking in a breath he struggled to remove his eyes from the absent stare. The horror filled orbs looked past the king as they stared absently up at the moon crying for mercy.

Lupus felt hollow. Blood drenched his clothes and covered his shaking hands. His palms felt heavy and glancing down a barely beating heart sat in the clutches of his claws. As the blood dripped mercilessly the king looked towards the sky. Tears poured down his face as the reality of what he'd done set deep into his bones.

The mighty wolf king fell, crashing to his knees.
Lupus howled at the moon, screaming his pain to the goddess, until nothing but whimpers left his lips

"Goddess, forgive my wretched soul"
