complicated didn't even begin to explain it.

"yeah, complicated. there's a lot you don't know about hawkins, a lot has happened in the past few years."

you can take the person out of hawkins, but you can't take hawkins out of the person. it's been almost a year since the unforgettable summer of 1985, the byers have relocated to calmer waters, and joyce has found comfort in her new home. however, the new and old memories of jim hopper haven't all been comfortable. and they're far from easy for her to forget.
