Usually seen as a bright and ambitious individual to all of those who've met her, Alma Amada seems to have it all together. However, following an unfortunate series of disappointments, Alma has grown cynical with life and has grown to believe she is inherently flawed. This has caused her to sabotage herself and damage her relationships.
The death of her grandmother, couldn't come at more inopportune time. The seemingly final straw brings along her change of perspective as she battles with her inner demons.
Caught in the crossfires is Damian D'Asti Cost, Alma's best friend since elementary school and boyfriend since high school, who seems to see Alma a bit differently than she sees herself. Just as her self loathing is at it's worst, the thought of him loving her becomes too bittersweet to be true. What will it take for Alma to realize the error of her ways, and at what price?
