Kurt Vonnegut? Never heard of him-
I'm lying, naturally. I tried to mimic the type of storytelling he made to make stories more real. But I think I failed at it! Anyway, it's about a man named Florence, a failed writer, who has a life which ends in a nuclear abyss. And that's just about it. This book is also heavily inspired by Kurt Vonnegut's "Slaughterhouse 5".

Somehow he manages to get out of the village to attend far away schools in the city where his life completely changes as he utilizes his newfound freedom. This is followed by several tribulations, conquering each of them, drowning in some and even attempting suicide. In college he's inscripted into the special branch where he becomes a cold killer who cleans the government mess. His story is that of denial, struggle with identity, lack of personal freedom and misery. It radiates several lessons and reveals how a person can be totally different from what others know about him. He knows that his end is near and that he has to find ways to emancipate himself, because knowing much can get you killed. I have sat often in front of the computer, and stared long at the screen without ever writing a word. The synopsis for this project has haunted me since the first person asked me "So, what is it about?", and to this day I have never been able to deliver a straight answer. This book is about a number of things, many of which do not fit evenly into a succinct description. I have tried to make them fit and have found the resulting descriptions ill-representing and dull. Thus, I have decided to go without a description. This book will fade into obscurity no matter what I put here, so I might as well write what's really important. Winter in a city is an especially punishing time. This book comes out of my late nights and early mornings riding the train, and my looking at the window and being able to make out nothing but the blur of the glass. From the outside it may look dead, but certain people know that the inner workings of a city are a true marvel to behold. In writing this, I have tried to capture that marvel and deliver it to you, the reader. This is a book about a city and the people within it. The rest is up for you to read, if you so choose.
