In recent years, The City of Oakville has been a hotspot for crime and a favorite playground for criminals as high as the dons of the crime syndicates to the lowly pickpocket, but thanks to Poison Gas, the alter ego of Navy Seal Alex Smith, that is no longer the case. Ever since the gas-masked vigilante took to the streets, the crime rates have dipped drastically over the past years. However, the top brass of the city's underworld may have a solution for this in the form of a corrupt businessman and his cronies.  Oakville's gas-masked hero will have to adjust to this new threat as there is more than meets the eye regarding Agony and his posse of supervillains. Join Poison Gas on his crusade to cut down, if not downright eliminate,  crime in his hometown, gaining a sidekick in the process while contending with a formidable foe unlike one he never took on before.

But in his day to day life he is Alex Harris, someone with near god-like powers who is perpetually looking for ways to fend off his perpetual boredom. Morgan Richman is a low level villain who has made their career on elaborate heists, nefarious hijinks, and somewhere along the way wound up with the S Tier villain as their roommate and best friend. For them, life is absolutely perfect. Until the day the heroes kidnap Morgan to try and get to the S tier. And during their interrogation discover that Morgan's mostly useless superpower (a near useless summoning ability) has the potential to be Alex's undoing. Literally. For an S tier like Alex death is hardly permanent, but he comes back to a very changed world. One that both has moved on from him and still feels the scars from the aftermath of his death. And as for Morgan? They are barely recognisable from the light-hearted friend Alex left behind.
