Trouble In Paradise; A Ben Mason/Falling Skies Fanfic

This short story follows Riley Johnson, a 16 year old girl whose parents were killed by skitters, the aliens that invaded our planet 3 years ago. Riley thinks that her life is over and that there is nothing left to live for. Just as Riley was about to take her own life, as if it was a sign from her parents, a boy saves her. His name is Ben Mason, a peculiar boy from a resistance group called the 2nd Mass. The 2nd Mass includes Riley into their community and teaches her how to become a soldier. She fights side by side with Ben, who makes her feel like shes on top of the world. But before she can become too happy again there is major Trouble In Paradise.
