Cadence Payne is the valedictorian of her 9th grade class. She's one of the smartest kids in America; with her astronomically high GPA and IQ, and being constantly offered to skip a grade. Throughout her elementary and middle school years, she was categorized as an outcast; a freak. She never had any friends, she never went on dates, she never understood that it was uncool to raise your hand at every question. Until now. It's Cadence's first year in high school and everything's absolutely perfect. Almost too perfect. She's got loyal best friends, Heather and Reagan. And she's even caught the eye of one of the hottest guys in school, Scott Hero. He's so close to asking her to the Spring Fling, she can feel it. But once again, her intelligence strikes up a problem. Her parents have decided that her current high school isn't good enough for her, so they plan to send her across the United States to attend the best high school in America next year. Which means, no Heather and Reagan, and no Scott Hero. But Cadence doesn't give up that easily. And so, "Plan Rebel" is born.
