When her older brother returns to Scotland in order to regain the throne for the family, Charlotte must go on the run from prying Puritan spies, eventually ending up in an unknown country. There she meets Jacques, a local duke who is willing to keep her hidden from the now-scary world of Royals.
The main question is; will Charlotte regain her lost title, or will she come to accept the problems that lie in the monarchy?
