Young, outgoing and party-loving Verity Banh is a fresh college graduate. Like any other student, she hopes to get her dream job and make a living for herself as well as support her family. With hesitation, she applies for a detective job - all the way in mid-town Manhattan, one of the scariest, most dangerous places of her time. Whilst packing her bags, Verity learns the hidden truth about her family. She then - one painful decision later - chooses to speed off to New York. However, accepting her fate would be just as unpleasant. Especially if that fate lies in the hands of a total stranger, one who's story ties exactly with hers, who just so happens to run a human testing lab in the heart of Manhattan.
New York's A Lie is an original story (hopefully), set in the early 1980s.
