Ponyboy is the quiet, shy bookworm in Y/N's English class. She's hardly spoke to him before but when her teacher explains that she's drastically close to failing, the two of them are thrown together as student and tutor.
This story is set in the same universe at The Outsiders. For the purpose of this story there was no fire, and no characters are dead. Everything in The Outsiders happened up until the fountain, where Bob was stabbed by Johnny, but he didn't die. Ponyboy and Johnny still ran from the police, but they were brought back by Dallas without the fire occuring. The rumble still took place, and the greasers won.
