Records of the Forest (Completed)
Rowan Irvine had always been told she was childish. Her room was lined with stuffed animals and drawn-on walls. But the summer of her senior year Rowan's parents decide to move to a "sweet little town in the middle of nowhere". With a town, new home, and no friends she thought she'd have to leave her childish ways behind and grow up. Be helpful, no more made up creatures or stories or adventures. But "middle of nowhere" meant by an enormous, looming forest. And "sweet" meant the town held more secrets than it's residents. And "no more stories" meant Rowan was about to become part of a story more dark and dangerous than she could have ever imagined. Perhaps more than she ever wanted to imagine. I made this when I was younger and decided to release my old work into this to the world. I didn't plan a storyline so this maybe have crazy tone shifts. (Making her naive to the cruelty of the world.) She always wanted to see the world outside of the castle. Though everyone saw her as a weak helpless princess that needs to be protected, and hidden from the cruel world she desperately wants to see with her blue eyes. A witch shows up one late after noon and offers her magic mirror, that can show her the outside world from just looking into it. She only needs to imagine the place she wants to see and will be there. The princess though was being a jerk so the witch cursed the mirror. Making it so that the princess ever looked into it, she will become a fearsome dragon. "The princess will no longer be a princess and she will see the world she desperately wants to see. Her soft skin will turn scaled. Her silk like hair will disappear and be replaced with sharp horns. She will be the monster outside as that she is inside." Please don't read this, I wrote it in middle school and it's really bad. I just don't want to delete it because some people might get mad at me ;-; Maybe someday I will rewrite it. "That's what I wanted to teach you May, you should know now, that life isn't always going to have a good end. Bad things are going to happen, and if you play them off and ignore them, it will only worsen," May's mother explained. There once was a prince, who fell in love with a girl. But she wasn't a princess. She was the hand maiden of a nobleman's daughter, who had eyes for the young prince. The prince and girl fell in love, but couldn't be together, for the nobleman's daughter grew jealous when she found out, and ordered them to be killed. This story was called "The Lover's Curse." As it passed down, generation through generation, it became known as only a legend, a myth. But it was true. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ It's up to May and Drew to break the hold destiny has on them, to fight for their own way. All of our life, we have been told that we can't travel to different universes, and Juliane is no different. She was living like any normal teenager her age. One day, some gangsters attacked her mom, forcing her to pay the debts Juliane's father left them with. While hiding in the basement, Juliane found some weird looking crystals and some box that looked different from the things you'll see in this world. Out of curiosity, she tried using the box, which took her to a different universe, which might sound insane for an instance. Over there, she meets different types of people, she likes some, dislike some, however, there was that certain person she felt a different type connection. What will happen with her?
