Larissa is a young mechanic with an independent mind of her own. When loose-living racer Devin Marsh moves to town, it's all she can do to ignore him. He's charming, rich, and so...annoying! She can't believe she has to put up with him and all his saucy remarks, not to mention his cheap women.

After Larissa finds the sweetest boyfriend and Devin finally gets a steady girlfriend, her reasons to despise him begin to dwindle; but stubbornness doesn't ever agree with reason.

It's just easiest to hate him--and that's what scares her.

"They're easy to come up with when the subject is as-" I placed a kiss on his lips to shut him up, not accepting another compliment. I sat straddling his legs again, running my fingers up and down his chest. "Seriously, if you don't stop I think I'm gonna hide underneath the covers." He wiggled his eyebrows and lifted the blanket below him. "I'd be down for that." I gasped and whacked him on the shoulder repeatedly, until he flipped us over and was on top of me. He placed his legs on either side of mine and ran his hands through my hair, staring at every part of my face. "Where have you been all my life?" "Waiting." - live on the wild side.
