A million thoughts ran through my head as Jack looked around frantically. How is this a thing? I looked to Jack just in time to push him out of the way as the spear pierced my skin, leaving shadows and monsters in my vision. I clung to the railing, trying to fight it off. But my fear got the better of me...

My mind is still groggy, unable to swiftly move my body like I need to. I didn't even notice I was crying until his voice rang through my ears once again.
