Salazer Slytherin grimaced in his grave when Josie Walters was sorted into the house of the serpent. The half-blood witch was ambitious, brilliant, and had the heart of a lion, among other traits, yet the sorting hat deemed her fit to be a Slytherin.

Life for Josie was uneasy, to say the least. Drowning under the pressure of her parents and the empty feeling of being alone at Hogwarts pushed the girl off a cliff that had been slowly crumbling for years. In her seventh year, Josie went home from school for winter break and returned as a ghost after taking her own life.

Josie haunted the halls of Hogwarts, pulling pranks on the living students and acting as a guardian angel for the one true friend she had but left behind.

The last thing Josie expected was for that friend to join her in the after life after he was murdered.
