This is a short prequel story for my other story Hook, Line & Sinking. This story can be read stand alone and you don't need to read this story to understand Hook, it's simply a bonus. ;-)

After everything that happened in Australia, Miriam and her family decided to move to Beacon Hills from a job offer. Though her parents and her never had a great relationship, it didn't stop the fact that they'd do anything to protect their children. Miriam wasn't like any other normal girl: she's had a mermaid tail since she was 8. After that, she realized how delicate secrets are, and more importantly, how they need to be kept to themselves.
