Avery Bell was content with her average life, until an unlikely meeting with Lukas Saldana - the privileged son of one of the wealthiest families in Jamaica and the head of the one of the wealthiest groups of companies in the region. He is well educated and dedicated to the success of his family's businesses. His family denies him nothing, except his ability to choose who to love and they certainly won't accept that it's the brown skinned Avery Bell.
Avery is content with being Lukas' girlfriend. He's sweet, caring, adventurous, and being rich is merely a welcomed bonus. Soon, they both find themselves head-over-heels in love and unable to be without each other. But when faced with the fact that she's not light skinned or rich enough for his family's approval, can their love conquer the desire for wealth?

"I'd follow you to the ends of the earth if I had to," he half-whispered, pressing his palms against mine. "You can't deny that we were made for each other." Alexis Sinclair never planned on love until she met Lukas Mont, the dangerously charming CEO. Their chemistry is electric, but secrets from the past and enemies on every side threaten to tear them apart. As Alexis fights to stay independent, Lukas battles to protect her from the shadows closing in. With the universe seemingly against them, they'll have to decide if their love is strong enough to survive or if the forces around them will be too much to overcome.
