In a world where 80% of the population has developed unique mutations in their genetic codes, giving them "superpowers", or "quirks", as they call it, it doesn't take long for fantasy and imagination to emerge out of the earth. And further, it doesn't take long for roles of "Heroes" and "Villains" to rise up as well. But... Who coins one as a "hero" or a "villain"...? The person themselves...? Or the people around them...? Light... Dark... Dusk... Dawn... Two sides of the same coin... Twilight... --- Kageyama Kazuma is a 16 year old boy, aspiring to follow his late father's footsteps, and become a hero who saves people. But... Not all can go as planned, or wished, right? So was the case for Kazuma as well, as his quirk soon found itself being held accountable for Kazuma being coined the word "villain" by those around him, before he could even begin his journey to becoming a hero. His only light in this darkness being his mother, is willing to do whatever it takes to keep that smile she treasures so much to never leave the boy's face. But... Being a human at the end of the day, she can only do so much. Follow Kageyama through his journey to becoming one of the greatest heroes in the entirety of Japan. What awaits him on this journey? Friends? Love? Hardships? That's for you to find out. [This is a rework of my first book ever, "What It Means To Be A Hero"] --- I do not own any claims/rights to the My Hero Academia verse, all rights go to Kosei Horikoshi. I only own the original characters I've added to the story, and the arts I add in the book. In case the art doesn't belong to me, I'll credit the said person in the comments. Peace. "I'm sorry Hiei." I whisper to him softly with my voice trembling all the way by the pain that is tearing me apart on the inside. With one shaky breath later, I placed one final kiss onto his lips and forced myself to leave while heading to the place, where the pack of wolves is waiting. . . I know what I am about to do is going to be one of the most dangerous things in the world, but sadly I also know that there was no other way in a short time like this. . . a decision needs to be made. . . something needs to be done. . . This little thought might sound selfish. . . But for some reason, deep inside the core of my heart, that foolish side of me is hoping that he would find it in his own heart to forgive me for my actions. . . However. . . I know Hiei. . . my demon way too well. . . And because of that. . . I knew he won't do it. . . He won't forgive me. . . ever. . . I can understand that completely. . . and I will understand that if he wants to go back to his own world after this and burn down the bridges that are connected between us. . . Because to be quiet frank here. . . I wouldn't forgive myself either. . . I never deserved it in the first place. . . At all. . . My name is Miyuki. . . But others knew me as the Phoenix. . . The Fire-Bird that would finally find her strength to rose from her own ashes. . . However. . . there is still so much for me to learn. . .
