Werewolves are considered by most in the wizarding world to be subhuman, not worthy of having the same rights and freedoms that they do. Remus Lupin knows that he's a monster, that he's something to be reviled and feared. He knows that he can never reveal his secret to his best friends, but when he's forced to write 'Monster' in his own blood, keeping secrets is no longer an option.

Based off of ThatOneAnimagus' work titled 'The Marauders and Umbridge'.

Sirius Black has been disowned, Remus Lupin is struggling with the reality of being a werewolf. Neither of them knows what their futures hold. When Remus doesn't show up at Hogwarts, Sirius is faced with the challenge of moving past old quarrels and helping his friend. Is he worthy of Remus? Is he worthy of his friends? Warnings: Some homophobia, implied childhood abuse, physical fighting, coming out Exciting update! Part 2 is now being posted under the title "And Yet, The Sun Still Rose - A Collection of Wolfstar Stories." I also have a Regulus fanfic that is complete and available to read if you are interested! Part 2: Sirius and Remus are in love, but the world is shifting, and the Marauders are growing older. Soon, they will have to leave Hogwarts and find their own way through the world among the growing turmoil in the wizarding community. These are stories of love, friendship, family, and sometimes pain that shape the Marauders during their final years at Hogwarts and beyond. Most of what you are about to read was written around three years ago during a difficult period in my life. I won't go into the details of such things here, but I can say that writing about the Marauders, often daily at the time, was an escape for me and what was initially a plan for a cohesive second installment of my "Mirror Moon" story quickly changed into something that resembled a collection of moments. I figured I'd never be able to share it because the story doesn't run smoothly, but when I opened the document today and saw that I'd written over 170,000 words, I knew that I needed to comb through it and find the individual stories within. All I hope is that these stories can bring you joy, entertainment or even just a short escape as they did for me all those years ago.

❛Y-You know?❜ He stammered, eyes wide, as if he expected me to pull a pitchfork out of my back pocket. ❛Uh-huh.❜ ❛And you're not... you're not scared?❜ ❛You're wearing fluffy socks with little turtles on them, forgive me for not trembling in fear.❜ {--} A werewolf, or occasionally lycanthrope, is an individual who can shape-shift into a wolf with the transformations occurring on the night of a full moon. They are depicted as ugly, dangerous creatures who should be avoided and feared. Well, you exactly wouldn't call Remus Lupin 'dangerous' and definitely not 'ugly'. If you cast your eyes upon the boy, he most definitely would not strike fear into your heart or send chills up your spine. Unless you took his chocolate, that is. {--} One night, under the light of the full moon, Y/n L/n, a Hufflepuff girl with secrets of her own, crept out of her room that night and stumbled upon a group of Animagi attempting to calm a werewolf. Upon seeing this, she made use of her 'secret' and found herself becoming a member of the infamous Marauders. Want to know more? Read the goddamn fanfic! WARNING: This story contains canon-fuckery, which is mostly unintentional (like Regulus and Tonks being in the wrong school year). I'm too lazy to go back and change it so... deal with it.
