Tanya had always mastered the art of going unnoticed-an average high school girl who kept her head down and her circle small. On an ordinary afternoon, a stray basketball comes flying at her on her way home, knocking her right off balance-literally-into Brandon's world. Brandon, the charming and well-liked guy from school, immediately offers to walk her home, but Tanya refuses, convinced they have nothing in common. That night, fate plays its quiet trick: they bump into each other again while taking out the trash in their apartment building. A surprised laugh turns into conversation, and conversation turns into a tentative friendship. Brandon's easy smile and popularity slowly chip away at Tanya's walls, while she grounds him in a way no one else can. But Tanya's insecurities-about not being "enough" for someone like him-begin to creep in as their bond deepens into something more. And Brandon, while patient, has his own fears: of being pulled in too many directions and losing what matters most. As college decisions loom and the possibility of separation grows real, both must decide-will they confront the insecurities that threaten to tear them apart, or let timing and distance write the end of their story?
