Frank had always taken a walk through the woods around midnight. Stupid, he knows, since it's New Jersey he lived in and a bunch of druggies could be waiting there. But it always calmed him down when he needed it, and it's a habit of his now. Every night's been calm and quiet. Until tonight. Tonight, fate has knitted a new thread into Frank's life. Something that would change his life forever.

I felt like I was in a bad dream and couldn't wake up, everything was spinning. My chest hurt from how hard my heart was thumping. This necklace, how in the world did it get here? I didn't take it back here with me, I left it on Frank's grave in Jersey. I discreetly pinched myself to see if I was dreaming, but I didn't wake up. This was real life. "Oh! That's mine, the string must've broken loose." I heard a voice. I saw feet at first. Yellow converse shoes. Then I saw pants. Black jeans. Then I saw a jacket. Okay, so Gerard wasn't exactly ecstatic about where they had ended up. Sure, it was Frank, his best friend's birthday, it was Halloween, and they even had a day of vacation from touring.
