Katala is a quarter demon she has both human and half demon ears which can let her here a mile away, ok so Katala was hit by an arrow whilst looking for food and blacks out, Inuyasha smells the blood a mile away and is on the case.
When Inu gets there he finds a torn fucked up quarter demon with an arrow so he takes her to Kaede's village to get treated for the wounds, and you shall find the rest out in the book enjoy peeps!!!!
