The four oldest Penderwick sisters receive a Very Important Letter and discover a family secret regarding their mother's parenthood, leading them to spend a summer at Camp Half-Blood. (centered around Jane Penderwick, Rosalind Penderwick, and Rachel Dare)

JANE wonders what growing up means for her writing, specifically Sabrina Starr. With things changing, one last Sabrina Starr book ready to pour out, and a certain oracle on the mind, Jane has her hands full.

ROSALIND thought she had her summer planned out. It was going to be her last summer before college and she was going to spend it with her sisters and her boyfriend. Until the waters get muddied. Now she's single, at the weirdest summer camp she's ever heard of, and discovering that she may have more power than she ever could have thought.

RACHEL was fine. She'd gotten her powers back, and was looking forward to a summer of spending time with her friends, when the Penderwicks arrive and there's just something about Jane...

And then there comes a letter from someone who knew their mother, years and years ago. A secret is uncovered (and Jeffrey is phoned up, but that's nothing new, is it?) and the girls' lives are twisted and turned around as they embark on a somewhat unprecedented to New York. Suddenly, Rosalind's mind is even more cluttered as one of the few constants in her life becomes overturned. Skye and Batty experience new realms of science and animals (respectively). And now, Sabrina isn't the only girl occupying Jane's mind.

Percy is yet again thrown into a quest that is going to take all of his powerful friends to accomplish. But the person he needs most will have to be left behind. Violet didn't ask for this. She never does. It was an accident. But she knows it's not. With the threat of getting kicked out of yet another school Violet has to keep her wits with her as she tries to brave the horrors of high school her senior year. But when another "accident" results in her trashing the auditorium and meeting a dark haired green eyed boy Violet learns that her normal life has never been normal at all. Thrust into a world she doesn't understand with powers she can't control Violet learns some truth about herself and about her parents. Their quest takes them somewhere few have been and come back from and brings together the most powerful group of demigods the two camps have ever seen.
