The Mountain King

20 parts Complete Mature

No one can cross the mountains. Kolteria lies upon a vast continent, the country bordered by the sea to the East, uncrossed ocean to the South, deserts to the West, and an impenetrable mountain barrier to the North. No one has been able to cross over the border in a generation. Aleya is comfortable with her simple life in her small town. Happy, safe, hidden. But outside her village is a harsh, unforgiving world that is unwelcoming to her and those like her. A mysterious traveller appears and suddenly the life Aleya has built begins to unravel. Now on the run, along with a dangerous stranger, she flees to the city in the hopes of finding refuge from an enemy she is not even sure she believes in. But the city has its own dangers, and staying hidden is no longer an option. Original work - Part 1 in a trilogy. Please comment, I love feedback!
