Alec's family (Maryes, Jace Isabelle and little Max) are living in Asmodeus palace since nine (9) years ago, after Robert (Maryes husband) had betrayed her and took over theirs kingdom with another woman, (or as Alec calling that bich Cruela Devil), then after them running to Asmodeus palace Robert had kidnapped Alec to make him his slave, until one day he couldn't bare the torturing anymore And decided to escape and go to Asmodeus palace , 
so basically the story goes as Alec coming back and he looking for some job to do at Asmodeus palace and because Izzy Alec sister she is Magnus best friend there and his advicer, she making Alec to be Magnus private servant.. 😉🙊😏
