Daliah Ethans used to be a normal 17-year-old. She liked reading books, flirting with guys, and hanging out with her friends. All of this changed, however, when the anhydrous virus hit, and everyone evacuated into colder climates since the virus couldn't survive there. The anhydrous was a virus that killed everyone who was older than 23 years. Daliah's life was ruined by the anhydrous. It took her parents, it took her home, it took everything she had, and made her move to the North where she would live out her days in the Conservatory. Daliah's life was pretty decent at the Conservatory, though the place was more or less a prison, it kept them safe. Then one night, she had a dream, or more of a memory per se, that she had blocked out of her head for the past two years. That dream had reminded her of something, and it made Daliah sure of one thing: She had to get out. With the help of her two friends, Aster and Clover, the trio set off on a journey, away from the Conservatory, to figure out what this dream meant to Daliah and along the way discover the truth about the anhydrous and much more.

Karissa lived a calm life in South Town with her father, Peter. Upon her mother's death in her teens, she rebuilt herself, and lets her mother live on in her memories. As her 18th birthday approaches, she begins to have strange dreams. Her childhood best friend, Amanda, and their new friend Lorelei from the northern city of Irkah, one day overheard a conversation that will soon change their life forever. Just two days before her birthday, grief sets in when her friends go missing, and she's left without them, not knowing where they could be. On the day of her 18th, she discovers that her eye has changed color. Scared and confused, she confided in her father and Amanda's grandmother, Rhian. They tell her the stories of what is truly happening, what she is. Introduced to the Magic Folk's world and its people, she must follow those who once guided her mother. Professor Chasm and Headmaster Andla offer Karissa guidance and teachings for her newfound life of being one of the Magicks. Now she must find her power so she will be able to defend both Magic and Human lands against their enemies whom threaten all's way of life. Read Eye of the Wyvern to find out more of what happens to Karissa on her journey of adventure, self findings, love, heartbreak and grief. (this is the best way I could put this description without spoiling the whole thing and giving away juicy details :))
