23 years ago...An nuclear explosion of unknown origin changed the world.
The radiation was so powerful that it mutated nature itself.Animals and plants began to mutate into monsters.Terrifying monsters.
All around the world,they started appearing.Countries were in shambles,cities were ruined.It seemed that the future of the world was dire.In the span of 3 years,the world's population was reduced by 30%.
The world knew that they needed to put aside their differences and defend against the monsters at their doorstep.
Every leader of every country made a decision...To move everyone in three places and make three giant,impenetrable fortress and unite each nation's army to defend against these monsters.
The walled fortresses soon became countries and were known as "Atlas","Gaia" and "Kronos".The world was safe once again..for the time being.
Our story starts with a not so normal boy who was involved in an experiment unbeknownst to him.An experiment that changes humanity itself...

That's what I like to call it. The fault to my genetic code. More often than not, it's a curse. The static running through my blood gave me a name. A cruel, daunting label of a measly bug. A roach. That's what I am to them, to the government. Roach; the nameless monster with electricity for a sense and lightening as a second nature. It ruined my life, the sparking currents playing tag in my mind, running around and bumping into everything, shaking me loose. The government, actually. They ruined my life. My curse just gave them a reason. You see, the normal population with ordinary DNA, they don't know about the people like me. The roaches of the world. We don't get that kind of recognition at the camps. There, we are only one thing in the military's eyes. We are weapons and we will act like it. Everyone else out there, bathing in the goodness they don't know they've got, they don't know about the roaches their stepping on. As long as their getting closer to the sky, they don't care what they stand on to reach it. They don't know about the sparkling dreamer that's killed 7 people before her 17th birthday. They don't about the ghost of a girl peaking around corners for her entire life because even home wasn't safe. They don't know about the fighter of steel and iron sucking on his bloody lip courtesy of the wars he battles in as nothing but a shadow. The Unordinary
Six high school students looks like anyone else acts like anyone else but are capable of things no one else is. They learnt from a young age no one that means NO ONE can know about their powers even their parents and other siblings. It brings out the true friends and those who just want to use you. In the end, what do you do when your closest friend betrays you? This is the story as they try to keep their biggest darkest secret of what they are capable of and as they discover they're not the only ones like them... I am not very good at trigger warnings before individual chapters but there is mention of blood, cold abuse and parents divorcing. (But read at your own risk in case I mention something else. I am working on rewriting this story and when I do there will be the trigger warnings in the correct places.) (small teaser.) No one sees me. I am a ghost. I brush against the wooden fence. All around the world people fractionalize to local 'territories'. Territory 14- based in Birmingham, England- is one of thirteen territories based around the world. Although all are different, both culturally and with the distribution of wealth, there is one thing they all have in common: they sure as hell don't trust each other. And, as people turn on each other Cindy and Adam realise that maybe the war they were fighting was not as clear cut as they previously thought. Coming across 14-year-old Juan, a Chinese operative from Territory 8, they realise that the other side are just the same as them. But, this realisation comes at a cost as they are rejected from their warehouse, which is in the centre of the territory's operations, and become the focus of a man hunt in the place they once felt safe. On a mission to solve the mystery of Ralph's schemes and on the run in Territory 14 Cindy and Adam are in for a whole world of trials and tribulations- and the odds just keep stacking against them.
