Ash Ketchum, a Stock Market supervisor in Phoenix, got a call from his school professor, Professor Oak, and invites him to be the part of the student reunion in Seattle. Ash could finally meet his destiny and childhood best friend-cum crush, Serena. 
Serena on the other hand took Ash as her best friend, not realizing her feelings towards him. But then something occurred which shook Ash.
