Riley Smalls didn't know what to make of her new life, she and her brother Scotty were still adjusting to their new step father and now they were moving. With only two weeks of school before summer break, they didn't manage to make any new friends.
But when Scotty drags his older sister down to the Sandlot where a group of boys play an endless game of baseball, both of their lives change for the better. And Riley meets Benny Rodriguez, a boy that makes her swoon.
