He had an ego, and had a terrible attitude, but for once, those two personalities got him the girl. On the first day of school, Aurora sits on Milo's seat- typical right? But Milo let's it slide, even with Aurora talking back. But as revenge? Filling up Aurora's locker with sand and humiliating her seemed like the best choice.
