In the year 3020X, as the population continued to surge while economic growth declined, the government faced an unprecedented challenge. When the economy hits rock-bottom and spiraled into despair, the government made a solution- to leverage human genetics and brain processing through a centralized command control system, creating a new breed of citizens referred to as "NEW." The purpose of this transformation was to enhance the productivity of these individuals, who were then deployed in various fields to serve the country.

What was hailed as a groundbreaking solution took a dark turn when one NEW resisted the notion of being mere tools of the government, fought for return to individual freedom and choice.
