Authors note: I recently just watched and finished the first season of Dickinson and have fallen in love with the concept, story and characters. I've decided to write the story as a 'fanfic' as this story line will briefly try to stay as close to the tv series story. I hope you enjoy.
I was Born December 10th 1830 in Amherst, Massachusetts. Emily Elizabeth Dickinson. Poetry, an underrated form of literature that does not receive the respect it deserves. Mother is trying her best to marry me off to a suitor i do not find suitable for myself. Men ought to only hold us women back. My life is a travesty as my older brother Austin has decided to propose to my best friend, Sue. She said yes. Oh how I wish I could just marry her.

F***in' Arizona
How bad could it be to enlist your female best friend into helping you lie to your Christian family about your new relationship with your male best friend and about your newfound sexuality? Not that bad, right? Right??? --------- Nova Queen and Arizona "Ari" Matthews weren't always close in high school, but after an intense and serious conversation in the library one day, the two become the best of friends until they go their separate ways their freshman year of college. Now in their mid 20s and freshly out of grad school, they are reunited in the park of their hometown where Ari asks a huge favor of Nova that she later wishes she had refused. But in the end, will she really wish she had refused? *FA spans a timeline from 2010-2020 to help the reader see how the relationships were built between characters in a partial series of flashbacks. It also helps the reader to really see into the minds of Arizona and Nova as they age, and the effect different life events have on them.
