White. All I could see is a bright white light. It was getting closer and brighter. I tried to close my eyes to block it out but they were already shut. I reached up to block the light out but it was just getting brighter and brighter. I thought, maybe if it gets brighter when I close my eyes..

Darkness, I opened my eyes to darkness. I realized I was in a dark room. I looked around and barely made out the shape of a lamp. I reached over and turned it on. I scanned around the room, but I didn't recognize anything that reminded me of home.

"Hello?" I called out, knowing nobody would answer.

Where am I? I kept hearing beeping noises. Maybe I could look around. I started to lift up but my head immediately started pounding. The beeping got louder and quicker, and some kind of alarm went off. The noise was driving me crazy. The door flew open and four doctors came rushing in with a cart full of medications.

"She's awake! She's awake!" One of the nurses shouted to no one in particular.

"Excuse me ma'am but you need to lay down." One of the doctors said laying my head down gently.

Hospital. I'm in the hospital.
