Number 8 ● Luther Hargreeves

Josette, Number Eight of the Umbrella Academy, The One Who Feels Too Much. Having never truly had a life outside the Academy, sticks to Luther's side throughout most of their childhood into adulthood. As everyone else leaves to pursue a life of their own, Luther and Josette Hargreeves stay under the Academy following after their father's order.

Years pass, the two having always been close, pursue a romance within each other, finally acting on their feelings since they were young. However, upon the devastating effects of a mission gone wrong, leaving Josette and Luther forever changed, Luther steps up from the Academy to the moon. Leaving Josette alone, without as much as a goodbye...

When their father passes on, the entirety of the Umbrella Academy join together once again, their dysfunctional family colliding just like old times. When Luther finally comes home, Josette doesn't know how to feel but Luther wants to rekindle the burning flame he knows that's burning within her too.

All the while, everyone is facing a bigger problem. The end of the world.
