We lived in New Denver, an ugly city, one of the only safe ones. The floods wiped out the rest of the world, because of the Global Warming that most humans didn't care about at the time. People from everywhere came, trying to keep themselves and their families safe. We lived under monarchy, and it was never going to last. But what we didn't know was that our lives were going to crumble around us soon.

I never believed it would end like this. I was just watching Netflix when the power went out, then before I knew it everyone was screaming, then the school began to shake and fell to the ground. Only three kids in my entire school were spared, four if you count me. I found a group of people heading to the east coast for a boat trip to a supposed safe haven in India.
