In 2020 we faced our worst enemy. A virus outbreak known as the corona virus or covid 19 took the world by storm. It initially began in wuhan China. According to unknown reports many claims were made that this disease was contracted by humans after they consumed infected bat and snake meat in a restaurant. These resturants underwent thorough testing to ensure the meat was safe for consumation. But the nature of this virus was such that no detection could be made in its early stages when they knew about it. It was too late, before governments could comprehend about the whole situation it had spread around the world. The best medical teams tried to come up with the antidote while the death rate increased with every passing moment. The internet and television were flooded with this sudden phenomena. Humanity stared towards an uncertain future. Now thirty years later in 2050 .... Would you like to know what is in store for you?.

The virus began in 2092, and has struck the planet earth due to a failed science experiment, and it's beginning to get worse with every second that passes. And there's no one to stop it. people began to rebel against the government, and the planet grew cold, with a variant of the virus polluting the climate, causing acid rains and at times, chilling temperatures. for three years, scientists searched and tested for an antidote, and the didn't find it, until now. However, some would call it a cure, and some would call it a curse. The scientists of course needed subjects to make sure it would work, and they selected teenagers and young adults all across the world for it between the ages of 15 and 23, only to find, the antidote had an insane side effect. Special abilities, which altered anyone who would take it. Scientists cancelled it immediately, but it was too late. way too late.. ( THIS STORY IS INSPIRED BY THE MOVIE, " the darkest minds")
The End
We all were hiding in random places, apparently any place we could find. There were a ton of zombies, the whole place was full of them. Many people from our group were lost to the virus. Muffled voices, blurred vision and heavy breathes were heard. The ship which everyone had longed for soon arrived. The plan was to run to the ship and never look back. The ferry was anchored at the harbor and on the signal, everyone ran for their precious lives, not daring to look back. Some people couldn't make it in 'The End' . The ones who survived were the last of us. Will the people make it in time? What hardships will they encounter along the way? They said that "Changing is part of LIFE.", at least that's what the CSD (Change and Save Department) used to say. They thought they created a "cure". A cure to save many people's lives from sickness, cancer, and all. Unfortunately... They were wrong. It was fine at first... However, their first test subject? It was for no good. Instead of a cure, they made a "virus". The virus is incurable for now. Many people protested against the CSD and the government. It changed.. but it was never saved... They said that once they bit you, in an hour the virus will spread throughout your body and kill you, then you'll be alive but not like you used to be. There are many survivors, but there are also many who have been turned into monsters. They call these monsters, "zombies". The CSD promised that they'll find a cure, but much-lost hope, lost hope for being alive, lost hope for survival. A 17 yrs. the old girl was in between that. Everything might sound and look horrible but she never lost hope for survival. "I'm running out of food.." she kept on talking to herself since there was no one but her. She saw a grocery store nearby so she checked it out if there were food, and fortunately, there was. She stuffed the food in her bag until she heard something. "Is someone there?" She asked, she hoped it wasn't what she thought about but there it was. The zombie's legs were twisted so it will have a hard time catching her. However, she never encountered that close. She stuffed the last food in her bag and ran. She ran to the girl's restroom. When she opened the door there were zombies! It almost caught her but fortunately, nothing happened to her. She ran back but there were more! "Please don't say this is how I'm going to die!" She said to herself. Is she going to die? Who will she meet? Will they survive this cruel world?? This is a second view point from my original story - A Different Virus - Heartfire. I highly advise reading the original book first. Intro: Laura was a happy child without a care in the world. She loved her parents and life was perfect. Nothing seemed like it could go wrong. People started talking about a bad flu that was spreading and sending some into a coma. Her parents grew worried and stocked the house in case of a pandemic. Months later another virus appeared. Her family was shocked when the news people started reporting that zombies were actually real and not just part of a horror movie. They were appearing in every country. Her parents reassured her that none of the zombie sightings had been anywhere close to them. Her life is turned upside down when her father ends up in hospital with the bad flu and mother exiles her upstairs for her safety. She was never allowed downstairs again. Weeks pass and the streets become deserted with the exception of the red eyed zombies that wandered around. One night she notices a swiftly moving figure with glowing blue eyes in the street below. Should she call out or remain silent?
