Apartment 34A

I raised my small fist and furiously pounded on the door.
"Open up, now!"
I heard the voice inside the apartment stop yelling and heavy footsteps that grew gradually closer to me.
A young man opened the door quickly. He wore a pair of headphones around his neck and loose black joggers with a fitted white t-shirt. His hair was jet black and his jaw was covered in light stubble, he ran a large hand through his messy hair and sighed.
"What?" he said, his voice lined with disgust.
I glared at him, "Do you not know what an inside voice is?" I paused to check my phone clock, "It's practically midnight."
His jaw ticked as he looked me up from my messy ponytail all the way down my apron covered body to my fluffy socks. Then he did something unexpected, he grinned at me.
"You must be 34B," he gave me a sly smirk which made his dimples appear slightly, "Nice to meet you, neighbor."
Before I could get a word in he slammed the door in my face. I turned on my heel with a wooden spoon in one hand.
What the hell just happened?
