Eddie Kaspbrak is the finest of Derry High. Straight A student and the perfect example to everyone of the ideal person to be. Eddie has his whole life planned ahead of him. Specific moves that are intricately structured with the perfect opportunities to lead him to the top. Eddie is the fucking poster boy of perfection. But unfortunately, nobody is perfect. And when a certain someone threatens the spot on top that Eddie has reserved for himself, the ugly side of him unleashes, and things get... messy. Let's just say that Eddie Kaspbrak would do anything for his reputation. And that includes befriending a complete moron, despite it's challenges. And it's challenges... are a fucking lot. But he's willing to get his hands dirty for the deed. As they all say, keep your friends close, and your enemies closer. Or, alternatively: Eddie Kaspbrak is a know it all, and believes he has battled heroically through all the high school classes he needs to ace in order to succeed in life and to know what he's doing all throughout. And he does know what he's doing, for the most part, up until Richie Tozier comes along, and fucks everything up. Eddie has to soon realize that life isn't just dots and dashes and letters and numbers. People are people, and life is bigger than he's ever known before. Eddie tries to ignore his feelings for Richie, he tells himself that he doesn't like his tall tough best friend, but feelings don't just go away. When Richie starts drifting off and starts hanging out less with his friends, Eddie suspects something is going on. There's trouble at home for Richie, he hasn't told anyone what happens though, not even Eddie. Eddie tries to figure out why his best friend is acting up, in the process of doing so, he learns that Richie isn't as tough as he seems. Everyone has a weak spot. Everyone breaks at some point.
