"Can I buy the lady a drink to thank her for repeating the lies that the shyster of a prosecuting attorney fed her?" Controlled yet doused in sarcasm, his words were enough to drain the color on the red-head's face for a hot minute.

The night at Eve street wasn't a fortunate one for many people. Understandably, the victims parents were saturated with remorse and hate. But these emotions also aligned well with those of Daniel Archer's.
After all, being accused of violating a girl and being thrown into prison based on a set of fabricated evidence must make any man drunk on revenge and resentment. Especially, when those you love also testify against you.

Friends, family.

And also the red-head old-flame; Diondra Johnson, who becomes the heiress of a scandalous Liquor lounge by the time he finally returns back to his old city.

A man intoxicated with a concoction of anger and revenge.
A woman who would do anything to keep her business safe.
And a City where justice was slaughtered 3 years ago.

Amidst all of this, the only question is, "How far can a person go, regardless of their gender, to justify what matters the most?"
What, or who wins at last?
Her perspective? His perspective? or the truth's perspective?

Shubman Gill and Abhishek Sharma had three things in common: 1. Cricket. 2. Questionable life choices. 3. Falling for the same woman. They had everything-money, charm, and a questionable amount of free time to annoy their lawyer, Maira Negi . Until the BCCI chairman was found murdered. And somehow, these two certified idiots woke up as prime suspects. The crime? Brutal. The evidence? Bad. Their defense? Even worse. "I mean, I wasn't even in the country that day-wait, was I?" - Shubman "Would a guilty man wear pink Crocs to a crime scene? Think about it." - Abhishek Then came the media circus. "From Cricket Heroes to criminals?" Debates. Speculations. Memes. "Should we be worried that 'GILLTY' is trending?" - Abhishek "Bro, they made a Netflix documentary about us in under 4 days." - Shubman Maira Negi had handled a lot of bizarre cases in her career. But nothing prepared her for defending two cricketers whose biggest worry-even as murder suspects-was impressing her. "So... would now be a bad time to ask you out?" - Shubman, while being interrogated. "If we go to jail, do conjugal visits apply to lawyers?" - Abhishek, just being Abhishek. What irked her most wasn't the case. It wasn't even the fact that the evidence against them was disturbingly solid. No. What drove her insane was that these two were still flirting with her as if they weren't one step away from life in prison. The deeper Maira dug, the worse it got-hidden motives, betrayals, a setup so elaborate it made no sense. And worst of all? She wasn't entirely sure if they were innocent or not? Because in this game, fools don't just fall in love. They fall straight into a trap.. Genre - ( Rom-com , thriller , crime )

Gwyneth had always felt connected to her faith, a higher power presiding over her. That faith had shaken that devastating day those years ago, the day that went on to haunt her every nightmare for years to come. She's still trying to come back from it, to not only restore her faith in life and love, but her faith in herself. The sanctity of her spirit- she prayed for resolve. Every punch was a prayer. Every mile was a hymn. Until her knuckles bled and her knees gave. Azriel had been surrounded by darkness his whole life, a poison on his world, on his being. He exercised restraint in his every waking moment, banishing that darkness within himself. Some guessed of the strain it put on him, but no one knew the extent of it, how deep his scars ran. It was better this way, he was sure. He had always thought that if there were a higher power- which he wholly doubted- such deities must loathe him to have burdened him such darkness. He hadn't much faith in the gods anyway, much less faith that he could sway their opinion on him. But Gwyneth and Azriel did have one thing in common: the quiet fight within themselves. They only knew one way: to go about it alone, couldn't fathom letting another in. But there's a magic in finding someone who is your equal but opposite, something transforming. And frankly, Gwyneth and Azriel could both use a little magic. All characters owned by SJM in the ACOTAR series. Story takes place after the events of ACOSF. Aligns with the events in my other fic: A Storm of Flames and Deceit. I haven't finished Crescent City, so this story takes place outside of the events of those books as well. "Tell me, Eleanor, do you like seeing me like this? Do you like seeing me angry with you?" he yells, banging the spot above my head. I keep my mouth shut so I don't say the wrong thing and make him angrier. "Fucking answer me," he says, roughly shaking my body. "N-N-N-o-o," I stammer. "If you don't, then why don't you ever listen to me? The spanking wasn't enough? Do you need me to unleash my beast on you before you listen to me?" he asks, and I shake my head this time to tell him no. "Then give me a reason why I shouldn't take you across my legs right now and give you twenty lashes on each ass cheek for laughing at something Evan said," he says, and I pause for a minute. "You shouldn't spank me because it's my right to laugh or not at what Evan said." "You see, Eleanor, that's where you're wrong. Only I can tell you if you can laugh or not." "Excuse me?" I ask, looking at him confused and wondering if he's on something. "I own your laughter, Eleanor." "No, you don't." "I do. And not just your laughter. I own all of you." --------------------------------- Eleanor Brown is a lovely lady trying to make ends meets. She lands a job after an unfortunate event happens to her. Hi! I took over this story from the user @traaassshhh because they will soon be deleting the original story. The story may change a bit because I only have the original eight chapters in a doc. Anyways, here's the description. When Stiles' dad is killed by the most recent supernatural being to terrorize Beacon Hills, he decides to visit his dad's adopted sister (his auntie), Jocelyn Fray, and her daughter (his cousin), Clary Fray. To get away from his pack... his problems. But when he arrives at a burnt-down apartment and his auntie and cousin nowhere in sight, he is thrust into the opposite side of the supernatural spectrum. Deciding to help Clary find her mother and the cup, he is faced with the task of keeping his problems and his father's death on the down low, for the sake of Clary, which is proving more and more difficult, considering he's truly broken. Clary and the others are buying his facade of sarcasm and lies... Except from one sexy shadowhunter...
