La sœur d'Éléonore s'est volatilisée suite à une série de disparitions d'enfants aux alentours de la forêt de Talia. Deux ans plus tard, les songes envahissent ses nuits, tout autant d'échos à cette tragédie qui la hante depuis lors. Elle cherche en Sylvain, son compagnon, le soutien nécessaire pour garder la tête haute, incapable de se résoudre à considérer sa sœur comme décédée.
Extrêmement solitaire et peu encline à accepter le rôle que la société veut lui assigner, Aube a sacrifié la possibilité d'une vie stable pour se donner cœur et âme à la photographie. La nature qu'elle se plait à parcourir lui offre la liberté et les ressources dont elle a besoin. Jouant sans cesse de son imagination, elle fantasme des amis et créatures légendaires pour fleurir son quotidien.
La forêt qui l'accueille si souvent revêt pourtant ses mystères. Aube plonge alors dans ses secrets lorsqu'elle découvre un crâne de cervidé accompagné de l'ombre d'un curieux vampire dans les ruines d'un château...
Je créé ce fichier pour partager des extraits de mon roman en cours d'écriture. Afin de ne pas trop en dévoiler, je ne publierai pas les chapitres, seulement des petits bouts afin de présenter les personnages ou quelques passages que j'aime bien. Belle découverte !

'No, he didn't'. I was so shocked by the turn of events. Everything was going fine and then suddenly boom, everything turned upside down. I just couldn't believe this. What did he think of himself? 'Leave me alone.' I said firmly but his hold on me was so strong. I was struggling to get out of his bear hold but to no avail. 'Oh!! So, the poor lady thinks that I will leave her alone and just let her go free?' He had that evil laugh and boy, his breath stank. 'Man, you just signed your death warrant and I will do one favour on you.' No one messes with me. 'Ooooh, I am so scared that I almost peed my pants.' Again that idiotic laugh. I counted till 5 and then kicked right in his balls. I turned around and grabbed his hair from roots, jerked them so badly and then gave my hard elbow shot on his chin. Everything happened so fast for one moment he was standing and the other lying on floor wiggling. I charged at him with my cheetah speed, picked up a wooden rod and started hitting him wildly, 'You idiotic stinky breath was trying to steal my backpack. You are so dead.' 'Favour, favour, favour.' He was screaming in pain just after few seconds and was panting hard. I picked my paste from my bag and threw at him, 'Brush your teeth.' I was fuming. I turned around and saw him standing wide-eyed, 'Hi, I am Scarlett.' I smiled showing my 32 teeth. 'I am scared.' His look puzzled me. (Currently being rewritten under a new name The Claimed) Everything changed when they came out of hiding, terror spread across the world as people began to question if our presidents and our global leaders lied to us and weren't from the same race. The Beasts blended in amongst us as if we were the same, except humans didn't have the same predatory instincts and we couldn't change our forms like they could. Soon after we learnt that we weren't the only species people began going missing. Some were unlucky and taken as something that the Beasts called a Mate that one word made fear spread throughout my veins, I would rather sell my soul than have one of them mutts chain me to them. Six months went by before the government, that was un-tainted by this vile race began to take action into their own hands contacting other countries and militaries causing the great war to happen, sending both my parents off to fight for our rights. Only one of them came back, two months was the longest we lasted before we were overpowered by them. Six years of living in this dysfunctional environment and my hatred had never dwindled.
