Anne has been on an adventure and is about to start another when Christopher gets a letter from his daunting father in Scotland, inviting him to come home. 

But there, Christopher and Anne find that he is holding a secret about Christopher's mother - a secret that could change Christopher's life forever and open new doors that he never even knew existed. 

And so he and Anne set out, stumbling right into his mother's world of mermaids. When she opens her arms to him, Christopher can't help but only look at her with hurt, and Anne faces a difficult son and mother relationship.
