Kate is an introvert often seen as weak for her size, so she overcompensates by burying herself in books to build up on her knowledge rather than her muscle. Although, a brash idiot named Keith doesn't really understand that, and he believes that strength is the only way to truly succeed at being a Pokemon Ranger: a protector of the Pokemon and people of this world. Despite their overwhelming, polar-opposite personalities and very different ideals, an unlikely, yet successful partnership blossoms between the two on their adventures, and maybe even something more.
