(#1) Roommates by Day, Enemies by Night
WARNING: CONTAINING AMOUNTS OF SASS PREVIOUSLY UNKNOWN TO MANKIND In the city of NYC--- Ok. Hold up. First of all, New York City. What, are ya gonna assume everyone here knows what NYC is? Anyway, this is about two people. I can almost hear you rolling your eyes. Another cliché teen fiction with a bad boy and a good girl? Nope. This is about superheroes. I can still hear you rolling your eyes. Superheroes. Like in comic books? Like people with super speed and mutant powers? Yes. But this isn't about the fight they have. More about the lives they lead without the masks. But just keep in mind, people who live in the world have all different skin colours. Do not assume my characters are of one unless I state them explicitly. and diversity is welcome here in my novel! Anyhow, back to the story. Ever wonder where supervillains go after their fight with the hero? What about the other side of the story? It's not like they sit in their lair cackling all day and planning how to kidnap reporters. What about the lives they lead? And instead of just focusing on that, what if the superhero and the supervillain knew each other? I mean, can they see behind the mask? No, so their identities are secret. So what if the hero and villain were best friends? What if they were roommates? What if they were falling for each other? And what happens when they find out? Now, I assume you know all of these questions will be answered in this book. But hold on. It's going to take a while. You're in for a bumpy ride. And if any of you got any of the references in this description, give yourself a pat on the back. That is a beautiful thing. And if you can name all the references in this book, you truly are a gift to mankind. Fangirl out.Terminé

They can call for help, beg for mercy... BUT NOBODY CAME.Terminé
Deception
I'll admit the last few years I've been through the wringer - and the blows just won't stop coming. First there is all the family drama, and then there's a war (or, perhaps the war is the biggest issue at the moment?). Irregardless, I've finally decided what I wish to do with my life. I'm going to kill my father. Even if it's the last thing I do. And no matter if there's a pretty solider on the opposite side of the war trying to get in my way (or more accurately - my pants). Falling in love is certainly not a part of the plan.Terminé

"Life isn't always what you want it to be, what you hope it will be. In fact, hope is irrelevant. Nothing can save you here." When the world is in disarray, heroes always rise to the challenge. They walk on a thin line of fate, but what if fate is against them? The life of a hero is a tragic one, sacrifices must be made when you carry the world on your shoulders. The Academy of the Unique and Talented has always been there to create heroes out of broken kids, it's a safe place for those who need it. Stars are colliding as four kids face their past, present, and future. Allies rise as a sinister void may mark the beginning of the end. A crow watches from the shadows as the darkness looms, threatening to consume all. The world is a cruel place, but heroes have to be ready to take the hit, if only to shield the world for a bit longer. Because that's all they're good for, right?
Beginnings: Stories of Survival
What would really happen? The end of the world, roving groups of mercinaries, creatures pretending to be people. The end is filled with terror and death. Could love sprout? Static
{COMPLETED} "now that you've had your fun electrocuting me, would you care to hop in the backseat?" ---------------------------------------------------------- Freak DNA. That's what I like to call it. The fault to my genetic code. More often than not, it's a curse. The static running through my blood gave me a name. A cruel, daunting label of a measly bug. A roach. That's what I am to them, to the government. Roach; the nameless monster with electricity for a sense and lightening as a second nature. It ruined my life, the sparking currents playing tag in my mind, running around and bumping into everything, shaking me loose. The government, actually. They ruined my life. My curse just gave them a reason. You see, the normal population with ordinary DNA, they don't know about the people like me. The roaches of the world. We don't get that kind of recognition at the camps. There, we are only one thing in the military's eyes. We are weapons and we will act like it. Everyone else out there, bathing in the goodness they don't know they've got, they don't know about the roaches their stepping on. As long as their getting closer to the sky, they don't care what they stand on to reach it. They don't know about the sparkling dreamer that's killed 7 people before her 17th birthday. They don't about the ghost of a girl peaking around corners for her entire life because even home wasn't safe. They don't know about the fighter of steel and iron sucking on his bloody lip courtesy of the wars he battles in as nothing but a shadow. They don't know about the masked villain who would do anything to see the army they lead claim the throne They don't know about us. But they will, because we will rise. And when we arrive, we will arrive violently. ___________________________________________ Started: 10.06.15 Finished: 3.17.16Terminé
