Disclaimer: I have to admit, I'm a bit embarrassed! I wrote this when I was 16/17 years old, and reading it now at 22 makes me cringe a little. However, I remember the emotions and thoughts that drove me to write it, and I think it will resonate with young adults around the same age I was when I wrote it. She got a scholarship to study in New York City. However, her whole world changes drastically when she meets Kevin Hart, a racist and a rich spoiled atheist who made Juwariya's life a living hell. Everyone has that one life changing moment, That moment defines you. It shapes who you are as a person, and pushes you down the path that leads to the rest of your life. Sometimes you see it coming from a mile away, but other times it happens in a split second. That's how it went for me, one quick flash and my life was completely derailed I see the beautiful bridesmaids and the cute little flower girl, walking down the isle. Then I saw a handicapped stranger sitting on a wheelchair at the bridal stage. My eyes meet his immediately as i stand by the door. I froze, feeling my heartbeat quicken. They opened the double door wider allowing me to walk through it with my friends and family.
